International Missions

The Mexico Mission Trip has been rescheduled for

April 4th, 2018. More details available in the future.

Each year our church sends a team to Rio Bravo, Mexico. While there, they do construction work on a Ronald McDonald house. The Ronald McDonald house is near a children’s hospital and is for families of the children being treated at the children's hospital. It allows families to stay close to their sick children for a very low fee. Our team does not merely focus on the Ronald McDonald home; we open our hearts to the people in the surrounding communities. We have doctors, dentists, and nurses join us on our trip.  They open up free clinics for people in the community to get ailments and teeth checked. Mexico Mission Team invites anyone come and be the hands and feet of Christ. No special training or schooling is required; only an open heart and mind. We would love for you to join us in ministering to the women, children, and men in Rio Bravo. If you are interested, please contact Bob Butterfield at (318)446-1387.

Missionary Spotlight

Our FUMC/P Missions: International Scholarship Funds have helped support both of these young ladies.

Carly Bratcher, a student at LA Tech, went with LA Tech's Wesley Foundation to Sous A Philippe, Haiti.  These 15 young adults provided meals, activities and VBS to the children of Sous A Philippe, led Bible studies for young adults, and worked on a desalination plant to provide clean water to the community. They were in Haiti from May 24-June 22, 2015. Carly, her team & the folks in Haiti would like to thank the missions committee for this amazing experience.

Maegan Glorioso, an alumi of NSU,  served with a volunteer team at the San Jose orphanage in La Paz, La Paz, Honduras through an American-based charitable group called Orphan Outreach.  They helped with VBS, built and painted shelves, and played many games of soccer at the orphanage from June 6-13, 2015.  Maegan, her team, and the children  in Honduras would like to thank PFUMC's missions committee for making this opportunity possible.
